Early morning telephone sessions of either thirty (30) minutes or fifty (50) minutes starting from 07.30am are available.

The last session aims to be finished by 09.30am.

Other times may be available such as lunchtime upon request.

Many Employer Assistance Programmes (EAPs) use this form of counselling and as much can be achieved over the phone as by working face-to-face. If your employer does not offer this service then maybe you would like to approach them and ask them about providing it, the link on the right has further details.

 

Advantages of telephone counselling

Some people find the relative anonymity of talking on the telephone helps them to speak more openly and with less anxiety or embarrassment. It can also be easier to fit into a busy schedule, as sessions can be arranged during lunch breaks with the 30 minute sessions.

Prior to qualifying as a counsellor, I was trained by Telephone Helpline Partnership and worked on a telephone helpline.
